Progreso Coffee Bars / Trust management
In a joint effort between Oxfam-England, the Scottish roaster Matthew Algie and Green Development Foundation started the operation of a coffee shop chain called ¨Café Progreso¨. The cooperatives from the Progreso program will provide the coffee and will be co-owners of the stock from Café Progreso. The success from the business will benefit directly to the cooperatives. The coffee is, obviously, bought at a fair trade price, increasing the volume of coffee that the cooperative sells under this scheme. For more information, please visit www.progreso.org.uk |

Management of the Progreso Coffee Fund Based on the experience obtained in the Progreso Coffee Program and the need to guarantee access to working capital for coffee export the Progreso Coffee Fund is developed. The objective is to improve service towards coffee coops and the coffee industry. This Fund will be managed by GDF in closecooperation with Rabobank Foundation. |
