Clever Rojas was born in Piura, Peru in 1974. He studied economics and obtained a specialization in micro credits.

In 2004 he started within the Progreso program as a rural credits specialist for Peruvian coffee organizations. His objective is to professionalize the financial departments of these organizations in order to offer competitive financial products according to the needs of small producers



Alba Leticia was born in Honduras in 1957. She became engineer in agronomy and obtained a Master in Business Management with emphasis in Sustainable Development.

Alba represents Green Development Foundation and coordinates activities within the Progreso Program and other activities. She is based in Honduras and started to work for GDF since May 2004

 



Jimmy Navarro, Honduran,moved to The Netherlands in 1990. Founder and Managing Director of Green Development Foundation since 1998.

The last years he has been working to develop new alternative business models, both in financial and marketing activities for the coffee sector, where coffee farmers have a direct participation and benefit from the profits.

 

 


Janneke was born in Holland in 1976, after studying Business Administration she started working at
Green Development Foundation in 2002.
Janneke first did a research on the export capacity
of coffee cooperatives in Latin America and Africa
and she is now responsible for the activities with African parties.

 



Arjen is working as an intern at the Green Development Foundation. He is in the final phase of his studies at the Department of International Relations and International Organizations at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. During his studies he has specialised in International Development Issues. From November 2004 on he is doing a diagnostic research project at the KNCU coffee cooperation in Tanzania.

 



Rianne was born in the Netherlands in 1979. She studied Tropical Studies with a specialization in vegetal production. She spent 6 months in the Peruvian Andes, in a promotion and re-valorisation program of local products (oca, mashua, olluco, quinua, kiwicha, etc.).

At this moment, she is working with the CAC Pangoa (member of Progreso Program) during one year.

 

 


Rodney Nikkels is the Project coordinator of GDF and co-founder of the organisation that was establised in 1998. Mcs in Tropical Agriculture and a wide experience in the three areas of GDF.

Main motivation is to develop and stimulate sustainble trade for small producers.

 



Marieke Kisteman was born in The Netherlands in 1975. After finishing the Hotel Management School in Maastricht, she studied Culture, Organisation and Management (COM) in Amsterdam. For her final thesis she did fieldwork research on Community Based Tourism in South Africa. In October 2004 Marieke started working as a Tourism Coordinator at Green Development Foundation.

 

Mario Chacón was born in Naranjo, Costa Rica in 1959. In 1985 he graduated as Engineer Agro business Manager. His experience in Costa Rica consists in managing exporting organizations of non-traditional crops, such as roots and tubers, palmito, macadamia nuts and fruits.
In 1999 he moved to Holland, and since January 2001 started working for GDF. His main functions are:
• To facilitate communication and activities in the different programs
• To execute the organization’s accounting

 

 


Angel Mario was born in Mexico in 1975. He finished Marketing studies. On February 2004 he moved to Amsterdam and soon after, in April, started to work for Green Development as a Producer Support for the Latin American region.

He is involved mainly in the Progreso program, with the coffee cooperatives in Latin America.

 

 

Ferenc Matzken is the manager of the Tourism Support Program and co-founder of the organisation.

Ferenc obtained a Msc from Wageningen University in 1997 in sustainable land use, specialising in tourism development.

He spends most of his time working overseas.
